During this sector you will get the opportunity to explore one of the most remote areas of this region, explore an underground limestone cave system, participate in an overnight wilderness camp under the stars. Learn about and experience the history of the local Maori people who have resided for centuries on the many Maraes (Maori villages) situated on the banks of the Whanganui River. There are also many back county trails that are well suited to mountain bike riding and the feeling of wind through your hair!
Note: 2 person Tents to share, 1 dinner 1 breakfast meal at Wilderness Camp, guided cave exploration, a limited number of mountain bikes, one night backpacker accommodation (excluding meals) in Wanganui are included in the price of this sector.
